President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his unwavering confidence in the leadership capabilities of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, assuring Ghanaians that Ghana’s future will be secure under a government led by the Vice President.
Speaking to a crowd during a rally held in the Ashanti Region on Tuesday, November 26, President Akufo-Addo highlighted the steady progress Ghana has made under his administration, even in the face of numerous challenges.
He emphasised that Dr. Bawumia is well-equipped to build on the solid foundation established under his presidency, bringing the country closer to its developmental aspirations.
The President, addressing the enthusiastic gathering, stated, “After all the difficulties, our economy is beginning to pick up. And I know we will make the right decision on the 7th of December. The man who will take over is going to build on this foundation and take Ghana to a higher level of development. That man is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”
President Akufo-Addo underscored the importance of continuity in leadership, noting that the gains achieved thus far would require a capable and visionary leader to sustain and accelerate the momentum.
He expressed his belief that Dr. Bawumia possesses the requisite skills, experience, and dedication to lead Ghana into a brighter future.
The president added, “If there is anybody in Ghana who is in a position to testify about the qualities of the people who are contesting, it is me. I have worked with Bawumia; I have worked with Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh. And I know that we can trust Ghana in their hands.”
